Child & Adult recovery legal requirements

It is recorded in many countries that many children are abducted by other family members during many family disputes. These numbers are on the increase and set to rise in the future.

Recovery relies not only upon an understanding of appropriate laws and up to date regulations where a child/adult has been taken to, but in addition a good working knowledge of the country where the recovery may take place. In addition, an understanding of the psychosomatic and emotional shock placed on the child/adult and parents will be considered at all times

International child/adult abduction cases are amid the most complex and exasperating of abductions. With the majority of many countries operating there own judicial systems and laws, (where in many cases no treaties or conventions exist), original custody and restraining orders may not be recognised where the child/adult has been abducted and taken to. Legal cooperation between countries and states can be extremely controversial, and in countries where no legal cooperation or any conventions exist, the issues of child/adult abduction has many limitations without international cooperation. This may involve pressure from the Hague convention to allow recovery to take place.
